Sure (bloodborne story is kinda whatever anyway, it was more about the atmosphere created from the environment plus gameplay) but what about the whole point? How would YOU just apply what you said (write the end, trim everything and release) on an ongoing adaptation with an unknown number of chapters, each with unknown time and technical limitations that needs to conciliate hundreds of people from different teams, that will have technological, business and marketing research arguments to change the script? Also where is it said that tolkien started writing the ending and remove extra stuff? If anything he likes adding a lot of fluff to the setting, and the journey was always the focus. And even if he did, a book with a defined conclusion, even with an editor, it's just a personal effort with no technical restrictions, it's a different skill from a movie scriptwriter and it's also a different skill from an ongoing live service video game.
