To be a Muslim in Serbia today?
It would not be too bad, nice mosques.
Still a small minority like here in the USA.
Generally poor, the poorest Muslims the most radical.
Unemployed, discriminated, ghettoes, 2nd class citizen.
Maybe if life was easier for Muslims in Serbia it would be better.
It is the most deprived areas where you see the radicals, some go to Syria to fight in the war.
Unemployed young men in poverty, ghettoes exist from systemic unemployment and discrimination.
I would bet there is religious and political division on socioeconomic lines when it comes to the opposition, then the students and Palestine.
This is what brings social unrest in the Balkans, it is a border of religious identities from history.
I think what we are seeing a lot of times are competing influence of Muslims and Jews with Christians caught in the middle.
That is the case here in the USA with the question of zionist occupation. Both Muslims and Jews spend a great deal of effort appealing to the Christian majority.
Muslims are not all militantly anti-zionist nor are Jews all militanty pro-zionist yet there is a trend and the zionists are genociding Christians in Palestine and Lebanon.
