In the 2nd episode she appeared to be simply sleeping on top of them and Canyon Valley looks pretty hot in the summer. I imagine when she sleeps she either lays on top of them like that, has them kicked off near her feet, or sometimes even just throws them completely off the bed, everything but having them actually cover her.
