Yeah, definitely a skill issue.

First clear on high intensity gives you one-time rewards.
But there's also a bunch of these intensity 8 rewards for every character. The other tasks, like collecting the prism programs, can be done at any intensity. But to claim them all you want to do at least one clear at 8.
I recommend avoiding the timer and hidden attack prompt difficulty modifiers for those, to make it smoother.
