1. The real estate price drop will probably be not enough to offset the increase in the general level of prices inside of the US, caused by the tariffs.
2. As a result of the tariffs, the USD will appreciate outside of the US, not inside the US. Inside the US inflation will be rampant. And even outside the US, the USD will only appreciate relative to other fiat currencies. And only if issuance of consumer credit and consumer spending inside of the US doesn't simply increase enough to eat the tariffs without actually lowering imports.
