I think part of the joke with fascism satire in Helldivers is that the super badass looking war mongering state is actually pretty dysfunctional at fighting actual wars effectively. Hence photogenic but massively propogandized idiots fighting monstrous space bugs and bots, and it turning into a clown show blood bath.

What makes Helldivers better than other games with a more overt axe to grind about their politics (like Spec ops the line), is it remembers to make playing the cannon fodder idiots fun.
