Lotta Svärd was a Finnish auxiliary paramilitary organization, staffed by female volunteers. Originating in 1918, the organization supported the White Guard and subsequently the Finnish Army in non-combat roles (in addition to performing less /k/-related social work during the interwar period) until their dissolution in 1944 following the Continuation War.
