I've been in this situation. It's almost like having to step inside a shart mart in desperation (tire blew, nothing else nearby) and being thrown in with the mutants therein, who would say "you're NOT better than anyone here!". It's like a stain that don't wash off. 10 years later I'm saying "I could have gone farther. Why didn't I walk to the next town?".
