Promoting immigration of Whites and other desirable people is how immigration gets popular and that's naturally the case here. Operation Paperclip is rather infamously popular even among far-right Americans today. The Japanese even try to popularize immigration in anime sometimes by portraying all of the immigrants as handsome and cute Russians and Slavs more broadly; just check out Psycho-Pass and Golden Kamuy. Golden Kamuy even has an arc where they go to Russia, of all places.
If you want to get a broad opinion of immigration, then most people will support *some* type of immigration. The disputes are about the laws governing immigration, and just as most people support immigration, most people also support limits on immigration. Just as you wouldn't want to die of underhydration, you wouldn't want to die of overhydration. If anything, the Democrats' extreme overpopulation policies have led to 20% of people being completely anti-immigration, which is astonishing considering America's history and might be our only way forward if Democrats continue to obstruct constructive reforms to US immigration policy.
