Mad Max is very Ubisoft-like in it's gameplay loop but IMO it's pulled off very well here. You progress through various areas with various difficulties (half the map being blocked for the first part of the game), and there are numerous enemy "camps" and other areas to raid for unlocks and loot along the way.
It's going to be all Batman Arkham-style combat with some vehicle combat thrown in, however.

Yeah, you can play fully solo or with your squad of 3 customizable AI squadmates. It works great in single player since you can set up a "sync shot" with each teammate so you can stealthily take down 4 enemies at once. Weapon upgrades and unlocks are thrown about the world so you have to upgrade and explore to complete the "loadout" you want.

Controversial choice, I like it. Upgrades are rather superficial, but if you have the DLCs and start them early in the game, then upgrading your weed farm and Sammy's bar as you go through the story gives you something to spend the money you grind for on.
