Not really. I think the era of /r9k/ being primarily dedicated to robots and robots in general are a dying breed. I think it was a unique blip in United States culture.
There's just too many resources out there to lift yourself up out of the darkness. Looksmaxxing, endless fitness posts on social media, everyone sharing the most insanely easy to make cheap & healthy foods, ect.
I think people are more superficially connected than ever with social media but obviously we're all pretty fundamentally alone at the end of the day. I've been only teaching a few years but I think the age of social outcasts will be over in a few generations.
Is that dumb?
