They're used as a societal litmus test. The ruling class is player 1, we're player 2, and everyone else are the pieces on the board. It's a game. They come out with propaganda, we call it fake and gay, and why it's fake and gay, and then they revise their propaganda. If the propaganda goes over our head, then it's almost certain, the propaganda will go over the heads of the world, and be effective.

Joe Rogan, Tim Dillon, Alex Jones, Candice Owens, and so forth, are for the normies that know cable TV is "fake news", and these people are looking to be validated. That is the function of these performers, validate the "fake news" normies, while they sell you stupid shit like algae powder, "anti-aging" products and boner pills.
