It's obviously a very real thing in the US, the UK, probably France and Germany too. Plus various off-branches. It is the dominant religion of the western political class.

Yet the churches remain subservient. Even the Catholic church remains timid.
I don't know if this is sustainable. Maybe it's different among US evangelicals, or politicians, but I don't think anyone else got the memo on this.
