He claims he wants cheaper borrowing but in fact he wants no borrowing, and it's no surprise that he just pushed a bill that requires more borrowing than ever before. With the US unable to borrow any money, the GOP will finally have the cover they need to completely eliminate Medicaid, SNAP, and most of the federal government outside of the military and law enforcement. That's the end game.
Government spending is a third of our GDP, so there's no question that almost immediately after government spending drops to 0, so will consumer spending. The only sectors likely to be safe are military, tech, and possibly real estate. Expect a total collapse everywhere else.
