I'm Indian and it is the same in California. The way I've seen it is that, first, the Apartments are flooded with families. We lived there as well. But then slowly we start buying small townhomes and then go from there. I am not saying this to rage bait or anything but the H1B problem is crazy unrestrictive.

You might see the stats as only 500k / year but the truth is that almost every single one of those 500k people bring their wives, children and parents. So really its like 2 million every year immigrating completely legally. And no one will ever say anything because its all legal and the government wants this to happen.
