Family actually matters to me, I check up on my grandfather at least twice a week. I like cooking for friends and family, even if I haven’t done it as much as I’d like lately
Friends and acquaintances often send newcomers in our hobbies my way. I enjoy media and interests that engage the mind but also appreciate things that are just fun or wholesome
Some might label me an extremist, but regardless, I always try to approach people with mutual respect and be motivated by love, not hate. I just don’t tolerate nonsense

I have solid friends, but they’re all male. It’d be good to talk to a woman who actually values conversation, not just idle chatter
I do have hopeless romantic inclinations, but I also just appreciate a real, consistent connection with someone who has substance. Dark or edgy humor is fine, but you need to at least recognize sarcasm, even if you don’t use it
Honesty and loyalty are non-negotiable. I respect people who say what they mean and mean what they say. You don’t have to share all my interests or values, but if you’re against them, it’s not going to work

I’m into traditional tabletop games, 3D printing, firearms, and generally making or building things. Indie folk country, jazz, and some classical are what I usually listen to—The Mountain Goats are a favorite. Movies? Upstream Color, The Prestige, and RoboCop because it has a genuinely beautiful script.
Career-wise, let’s just say it’s a unique employment ask.
One day, I’d love to build a modest cabin somewhere with evergreens, mountains in the background, a small fruit and veggie garden, and fresh water nearby. If that sounds miserable to you, we probably won’t get along

Not looking for progressive types who think everything traditional is oppressive, people who resent where they come from or feel the need to apologize for existing, people who are severely mentally ill, or anyone lewd, crude, or just plain rude. Also, if you add me and immediately forget why.
