Does this technically mean that the space wolves are being visually communicated as destitute that they are jury rigging firstborn armor marks with primaris marks?
I don't think Fenris is even in the Nihilus. I'd like to think that they're doing that because they maintain legion structure and keeping a whole legion supplied is difficult so they dipped into their other power armor mark reserves.
Still I think that chapters based in the Nihilus should have this kind of aesthetic going on for them to visually communicate that supply lines are often cut or in flux in whether they are working or not.
I answered a TQ about a concept a while back called "scruff companies" where essentially the guard regiment is under-supplied so it creates a less uniform "scuffy" regiment as distributed gear is not equal. Basically same thing but with space marines in the Nihilus.
