Major Joint Operations:
Operation Orchard – Syria (2007): Mossad agents stealthily penetrated Syria and photographed a clandestine nuclear reactor. Israeli officials (Mossad Director Meir Dagan and aides) immediately flew to Washington to brief CIA Director Michael Hayden and other U.S. leaders on the finding. The CIA then convened a crisis cell to verify the intel – U.S. satellite images and analyses (National Geospatial-Intel Agency, DOE experts, etc.) confirmed the site was indeed a reactor. Stuxnet Cyber Campaign – Iran (2006–2010): The Stuxnet computer worm – used to sabotage Iran’s Natanz nuclear centrifuges – was a U.S.–Israel joint project (code-named “Olympic Games”). U.S. and Israeli experts collaborated under presidential authority to develop and deploy the worm.
