Growing up on the west coast we’re taught that foreigners, especially Western Europeans, are intelligent, sophisticated and tolerant people that we ignorant Americans have much to learn from. Sustained exposure to /int/ has left me incapable of continued participation in this popular delusion. Idiocy, I see now, is a human constant.
