The real victim in all of this was the old man he befriended, filling his spirit with life again, only to suddenly walk away, leaving the old guy with a crash back into his previous life. Should have just left the geezer alone in peace. It was like giving tons of sugar to a toddler and then pretending to not be responsible for the sugar crash.
