Thanks to Ayane and Gerty diffusing the situation, everything seemed to be fine. They also glanced at Bertha, who thought it was a good idea to bring food and drink in this place. They left you with a simple warning; asking you to control your wives and not let them do anything else like this again.

"Sheesh. Is it seriously that big of a deal?" Bertha said.

"Quite rude of them." Ruby scoffed.

"I can sense the weight of their stifled spirits, trapped in the chains of mundane reality, yearning to break free into the ethereal realms of freedom!" Yumi said, only to be shushed by some passerby, causing her to nearly shout in fury.

"Should we clean up?" Mel tried her best to whisper.

"Nah, it should be fine." Herta waved it off. "See, look over there. There's people that are already going to do it for us."

"I think they're going to talk to us, mate." Cattleya meowed.

And so they were. A few annoyed librarians requested that you all put the books back on their shelves. After you stopped Gerty from threatening them and demanding a duel for how they 'dishonored' you, all of you went to putting things back in their place.

"That sucked." Bertha said when she was done.

"Hey, nobody was forcing you to help out." You told her. Though you also felt like this place could use some robots to automate things. You wondered why this place didn't use them.

"Yeah, well, I'm not gonna just let you do all the work, Master." Bertha replied. "Like, I'd be a bad slave if I did."

"Well said." Gerty approved. "We need to always help our Master and be there for him when he needs us."

"Quite right." Ruby, who conveniently wasn't giving her all due to morning sickness, seemed to agree in principle.

After this was done, you and your wives went off to ask around about the principal Ayane knew.

Apparently the principal had apparently stepped down due to his old age. Much to the controlled surprise of your kitsune wife, he was now acting as an advisor and part-time professor for the rest of the Academy.

You were able to locate his office soon enough.

The man that greeted you as you entered was getting along in years. He had wispy hair, and sunken eyes. His hat was not enough to hide the fact he was balding. Slightly hunched, he seemed to carry a great weight on his shoulders whenever he moved forwards. He would've looked like your typical wizard, had he worn their more traditional garbs. As it stood, he dressed himself with cloth that had strange symbols, granting him an almost sinister appearance. It was contrasted with how tired he seemed, and the slight empathy that seemed to shine from his eyes.

"This is the director I was referring to." Ayane formally introduced you to him— Todred the half-elf.

"Ah, Ayane. It's a pleasure to see you again." The professor said to your fox wife. "It seems like you haven't aged a bit."

"You're too kind." Your fox responded with equally composed politeness. "Tell me, how is young Epur doing?"
