Mike judges artstyle id a bitch to animate and everybody on the original crew had to power through it. Its way easier to create cartoon slop than it is to create an underground comic style of animation.
They would have never had a chance of getting it out if they tried to make another season using the old techniques.
Im pretty sure Mike judge and everybody else is just in it for a cash grab anyway. I think he could couldn't care less what happens to the IPs he created over thw years or what if any meaning they had. He (just like almost every other comic and animation artist of the early 90s late 00s) was in it for the money for his entire career.
