It's true, if the only way to get a date on an app is to lie about your height there's no reason not to. You can either block yourself out of all potential matches because of height, or you can have a shot and then hope she'll learn to accept that you are wearing lifts when the relationship gets more serious. If she won't even let you get your foot in the door there's no chance of that happening.

Speaking of, have any of you browsed Tall Men's Shoes? It will take a few days to adjust to wearing lifts but it's worth it for the boost in confidence and visibility you'll gain when you go out. I would not recommend going higher than an additional 3 inches but if you can get yourself up to around 5'11 with shoes on, you can just say your 6 feet tall and she won't notice. 9 times out of 10 you will be taller than her even without shoes on, and it's not like she actually knows what 6 feet tall looks like anyway or she'd know that 6 feet tall is not the average male height.
