Of course, this was 250 years AGo
and what roles silver plays now are so much more valuable than it was then. Essentially, the scarcity and vanity of gold will never be able to compete or compare with the utility of silver, but nonetheless, the reason for the decree of this ratio is the same as proximity to the printing press, those closest to it gain the most, just like the technocrats gain the most from the digital currencies again it's proximity and narratives of propping up something less than against something more than, it's the why and the how the federal reserve notes value is dependent upon smashing the price points of money as denominated in itself. It's all just smoke and mirrors, lies to siphon off energy and utility by fudding it.
Ironically, up until relatively recently, mirrors couldn't even exist without silver, but thanks to technological innovation that only leaves us the smoke.
