Apparently the director of the anime intended it for it be CGI mocap from the start and never considered hand drawn, I think it's just going to be the norm for band anime
I value accuracy though, and hand drawn is never going to reach motion captured CGI without an entire legion of sweatshops with the level of playing in that anime
