I'd go in as blind as possible but yes, it has a strong story and cute girls and probably is a good bet for you if that's what you're into. It gets intense.
The first arc of the gacha is an adaptation of the anime it's based on. The anime is definitely the better way to experience that initial story but not 100 percent necessary

Kinda spoiler territory. The non-glasses one is the better unit, that's all you should worry about right now but id otherwise try to go in blind. Especially if you're going to watch the anime first.

The rest should really be seen blind. Or read if you want, the adaptation of the anime within Exedra really isn't too bad but the anime itself is obviously much better
