I'm busy most all the time... They've done a really good job with the new gear and making it that good is tough which is why most modders besides Dark don't do it.
If you can figure it out you can upscale everything you want. It's just time consuming and having to use your eyes but not really difficult.

I'm not great at it still. When you convert to the new shader, it's super fucked up so it's really starting over to make the item dye and show properly just similar to the old shader, and then on top of that improving the material. If there's some porter from characterlegacy.shpk to character.shpk that would do that first part, it'd make things way less time consuming but I don't think there is.

You can spawn a minion and make it into your char for reference of what the old thing looks like, too.

So I got this one done, and you'd think the rest would be easy, but no it's not at all because in changing the other pieces to the new shader gets them all fucked up and it's so much time just making it look similar to the old shader before improving it. If someone made a proper automatic porter to the new material, it'd be pretty easy.
Like you can see I wasn't able to match the black part to really look as plastic. Maybe I'm missing something but idk. The new shader is just different and some parts you won't get exactly the same even if you want to, I think.
And it's also just not very good because the textures themselves are bad and not made in the way new ones are, so to really make it good I'd have to update all the normals/mask/alpha to be how they do the new gear.
