That's a lot of words when you clearly just hate the genre.
LiS1 and Telltale games were heavily criticized for how choices didn't actually matter. There's no going back, especially after Detroit btfo the "only the final choice matters" approach.
If you can't handle getting an outcome that feels imperfect and feel the need to metagame then this genre is not for you.
