Fresh is good, but it has some very obvious and glaring flaws that make it very difficult to rank above other more consistent seasons that don't commit the same errors.
>show starts off on an extremely strong foot and carries that momentum all the way up through when Setsuna is redeemed
>show immediately takes a dive off a cliff right when it SHOULD be getting even better
>enter mid-late season boring episodes
>"shit, we just spent all this time developing Setsuna and Love that we forgot all about Miki and Inori"

When Fresh is great, it's fucking fantastic. But the show seriously starts fumbling the bag hard after the writers finally get Setsuna seated into the main cast and clearly heave a sigh of relief, as if to say "now we don't have to try for a while."
