which was barely above serious annoyance by virtue of the visual variety it was given by alternating between two artists, and the visuals of the store and beach scenes.

What you're describing is a game made by different devs with radically different strengths and weaknesses. And those games currently exist and do not need another entry added to their ranks. kyp's devlog talks extensively about preferring linear narrative games, and about struggling with story crafting. The game would not have improved by trying to do what he and his were worst at, the thing that caused extensive production delays. And especially not by abandoning the despair porn theme in favor of an ultimately empowering story with even one single good ending. Yes it would not matter if your one girl was corrupted by the power any ending in which you are still dating a (relative) giantess is an implicit good ending. You get a shopping date, a beach date, and an offscreen movie night after study/coffee and we can assume they are at the limit of how nice a date with a giantess could be presented by Safe Havn.

If anything the game should have gone even harder on the art. Give Saeko different outfits on each day, even if keeping the jacket draped like a goddess' shawl visual. Change up the animations on each of the death endings, make the deaths more drawn out as the week progresses. Narratively maybe at the very MOST he could alternate between food nights and ration powder with "play" nights which introduce specific tasks/minigames e.g. racing rc cars or defending a lego castle from an origami dragon to drain or restore character health. since we can assume the prequel chapter where Saeko was focusing on having fun and wasn't intentionally forcing the mc to kill someone who reflected some aspect of himself every day just to break him will never be produced.
