It is a parody of the "Chupacabras" whose real cases were feral dogs, coyotes, and foxes with mange, whose immune system left them weak, so they attacked farm animals that were easy to kill and sometimes due to their weakness they let their prey bleed to death, which is why it seemed as if they had sucked their blood, but in reality it only evaporated or was absorbed by the porous earth.
