Istaroth helped Makoto because she's in love with her, Makoto only asked Istaroth for help because well she has the power and she reminds her of her sister Ei but she only sees Istaroth as a friend. Then in the future Ei will take over Istaroth like what Gold did but now Istaroth will influence Ei making her gay to her own sister making it a gay incest.
