I was on a Joint Terrorist task force that deployed in August of 2001. At the time it was the largest contingency of Marines and Navy that had ever been deployed.

We (the Peleliu Amphibious Ready group) was in Darwin, Australia on September 11th. Deployed was the 1st MEU, SEALs, SWCC, Marine Recon, Beachmasters and our security unit.

GWOT started Oct 7th, the day we arrived in the Red Sea.
