Women have a huge hypergamous advantage over men early in life that slowly slips away in their 20s, at which point they basically want to call a ceasefire and date under equal terms before men start treating them the way they used to treat men when they were young. It's easy for them to say that when they're 30. None of them would've agreed to those terms when they were 20.
