this is one thing that really annoys me about the manga, no one is allowed to be ugly. every single man has to be the most bishie ikemen and every woman a bombshell goddess. such a big charm of ONE's work is that amongst a sea of generic attractive anime characters his characters are allowed to be idiosyncratic and often even ugly. towards the end of the ma arc it gets bad to the point of being comical, and i think the worst offender is tareo, whose whole shtick is that he's this kind of ugly kid, but even him murata has to make cute and
palatable.
