Because women were lied to in order to push the feminist agenda. They were told:

and now we have women pretending to be men, and men don't want entitled, emotional, whiny men for partners. There is no incentive to get into a relationship for men. We can't make more to provide. We are offered no vulnerability from women. A picture on a screen at least offers a safer method of busting a nut. Women have nothing to offer and cry about it.
