I'm going to ask the question, frank and direct. Why are "they" so obsessed with pronouns? They accomplish nothing. I don't need to see (he/him) next to a CEO's name. I don't need to see "she/her" in the bio of a twitter artist I'm only ever going to speak to directly. And then you have this, where the character's pronouns are quite literally as important as their core pitch. This use of pronouns is as superfluous as, like... If I said, "my pronouns are he/him and I'm having a sandwich for dinner."

Are pronouns magical to them? Is that the thing? Are they power words?
