Gameplay is unironically pretty good. All they had to do was to improve a little, and it could have been a gameplay masterpiece instead of a story masterpiece.
Also play the DC version instead of t he PS1 version. The extra FPS helps a lot with the platforming

If they had leant heavier into the dual realm mechanic, they could have gotten a lot further.
Or polishing the combat more, but you know... removing ice skating and then seeing if the balance could be ficed after that.

To be fair, the opening to LOTF1 went HARD, even if the game never delivered.
And the sequel almost goes there, its just a fucking shame its in a slavjank game.
