They're the only people who have the luxury of just being seen as human rather than a category they belong to. Until very recently things were very unequal with some people being enslaved based on their race, not being allowed to vote based on race or gender, women weren't given the same rights until very recently with it being impossible for single women to open their own bank accounts even until the 1970's. Simply put cis straight white men will not face a myriad of issues and then will be blind to it and minimize it whenever its discussed.
