Human beings don't control the universe. Power exist beyond humanity, we just wield it. My point is, power is an absolute and not subject to the whims of humans. If man wants power, he needs to grab hold of it, it's nature being defined by the laws of physics.
>hubba gugga is a young man who wants more power
>alkazar the third, his neighbor on the other side of a hill, too wants more power
>hubba gugga, a hunter gatherer, has once tried farming to see if this will help him achieve his aims but gave it up because he felt he was betraying the ways of his divine ancestors
>alcazar, a farmer, has inherited his land from his father who inherited it from his.
>the aclazar family, 3 generations in to farming, has gained quite a surplus and has now more than doubled in size
>alcazar the third, now seeks to reap the benefits.
>hubba gugga on the hand, a successful hunter gatherer, after a bountiful hunt and shroom celebration ritual has a divine ancestral vision that he will best his rival on the other side of the hill.
>alcazar, seeing how many people he now has at his disposal feels confident he can make something productive of this. He will raid the, more hardy, more physically dangerous gugga tribe, use their superior numbers to subdue that and take them as slaves.
>They meet at the top of the hill. The gugga tribe, completely outnumbered, manages a couple acts of bravery and ferocious before being overwhelmed.
>the survivors are enslaved
Neither party had omniscient vision to know which system was superior. The couldn't understand the reasons why. They what they did to gain the power they could perceive, but the laws of the universe defined who won.
