There are thousands of towns with nothing to introduce new dollars except military spending. They need the trillion a year in government financing of "defense" bullshit. The Green New Deal offered those small towns the chance to be of better use to the domestic USA. Doesn't mean it was the best of all possible alternatives, but the point is Republicans will never even try to come up with a new idea.
