As the years go by, I'm increasingly grateful to my parents for getting me a lil' king snake as a pet when I was a child along with the usual cats & dogs we had. She was only with us for a little while but I think it helped teach me to be empathetic towards and love all types of animals. Even the creepy looking ones.
