imo that's exactly what they're going for and attempting to destroy
according to them you should be permanently be patched into the system and made dependent upon it
the actual "progress" on destroying individual freedoms or rendering them innate is amazing across the past few decades
otherwise, after "earth overshoot day", I literally see no reason for taxing renewables and it seems counter-intuitive given the realities
