I will say it's funny how Russian video games from the early 2000's actually included German campaigns to get the most out of assets. Blitzkrieg, IL-2 Sturmovik, Silent Storm, Sudden Strike, Men of War all had German campaigns to pad out the experience and get the most out of everything. Americans did the opposite where Call of Duty would never touch it, or Company of Heroes which had a German campaign for the first game, none for the second, and after high demand added a German campaign for the third game but made it centered around a group of muslims in the middle east suffering under German and Italian oppression against the Tunisians
