LEDs are nice and all, but they are not 100% superior. Ever notice how the photon blood streams on Faiz's gloves and the red on his helmet don't actually glow? It's because they couldn't fit LEDs on the more intricate parts of the suit. UV fluorescent paint solves that issue, just bring upon many others.
