Bear in mind that The Church of Machina has very different sects within it, separated by ideology, creed and belief. Now, each of these sects are still part of The Church as a whole, but they are separated to such a significant degree that their goals have greatly diverged. These are namely:

>Sect of the Holy Woman
>Sect of the Holy Mother
>Sect of the Haicma
>Sect of the Holy Way

The Sect of the Holy Way consists of the bro machines, the male members of the Church. They worshiped the Sagemachina/Nanami and enacting her will.

The Sect of the Holy Woman consists of hebe machines. It was founded by Present Nanami. Its members worshiped Present Nanami, they express the idea that Nanami is force that can edit reality.

The Sect of the Holy Mother consists of hag machines. It was founded by Future Nanami. This sect knows and reveres Future Nanami under the aspect of the "Holy Mother".

Finally, the Sect of the Haicma is the most curious, as they directly worshiped Haicma herself. Not as a stand-in for Sage/Nanami, but as her direct attendant angel, in her roles as caretaker and executioner. Servants of Haicma within this sect consists of loli machines, which no doubt has implications of its own. They merely content in praising Haicma instead.
