sometimes I fold the flap of my backpack strap and hold my phone like this, it works surprisingly well but the angle is sometimes off, it doesn't stabilize in post as well, and is further away from eye level. A big part of why holding the phone while recording goes so well is because the phone can be held exactly at eye level plus the hand and brain has its own stabilization that works well in post
