Nagisa was just backed into a corner, and the localization changed her lines to come across more jaded. She too was doing her best to save trinity even if she had to get her hands dirty, in the end she was the same as Rio, except Nagisa took responsibility for her actions, and is still suffering a bit for it.
Mika is a bad example since she never actually had a plan to take down Gehenna , or become leader of the tea party, everything she said in the first half of the story was bullshit really. In reality she wanted arius and trinity to get along, she made excuses that it was out of hatred of Gehenna, but in reality she had no actual hatred of Gehenna, she just used that excuse because she grew up on a society where everyone hates Gehenna, so she thought using that as a reason would cause people to take her side. Mika's brain works entirely on fairy tale logic with herself as the princess, and she unites the two clans that were always fighting, and everyone is happy again
Instead everything went wrong and arius betrayed her, everything was a lie, Nagisa and Seia were right about Arius being evil, and now Seia is dead
Mika who's mind started to break down over grief convinced herself that this must have all been part of her plan, but there never was a plan. She just gave form to her trauma because it was easier to cope with that way than to accept the reality, she was betrayed because she was naive and stupid, and she ruined everything. Everything arius did wasn't actually part of her plan. Hanako points out that in the raid on the gym Mika didn't actually have to show herself and her words didn't like up with what Arius was saying, arius was saying kill Nagisa while Mika was saying Nagisa would be locked up. Mika staged the event so she'd have a way to secretly capture and lock up Nagisa from under Arius noses so she wouldn't also be killed by them. She just kept deluding herself, she created fake memories for herself.
