the game is heavily inspired off of a 1990s jrpg that never got released in america and is known for its long slow burn gameplay. someone who hasn't played it before would likely find my game annoying and nonsensical without the previous context of playing that game. i have a 60 page guide that comes with my game, but that's mostly for secrets and the such.
i like both games because the shapes and formations i put units in is very satisfying for my brain and autism. the numbers also work very well and it is very rewarding to raise units from zero to heroes. i also like it because you can pair units up in generation one to semi customize how your generation two units will turn out, making each playthrough unique
