I really, REALLY wanted for Erich to take in the assassins, and I knew the moment that this option popped up in writing that it would be the basis for the 1 Henderson written, but I genuinely didn't expect that he'd become a paranoid mess. I wasn't 100% fully expecting Beatrice and co to become his harem, but at least Margit would've had more leeway or at least wouldn't be burdened with everything ranger-related. It's a bit disappointing that he didn't pick them up, but I don't want to believe that the only future waiting for him if he does take them in is the future where he becomes so fucking paranoid and restless even in his sleep that Margit would rein her inner pure girl in and decide to share him with other girls just to give him more rest.
